Early Music
I specialize in Historical Performance Practice, performing medieval, renaissance, baroque, and classical music on replicas of ancient instruments. In addition to baroque violin, I play vielle and rebec. My research interests focus on 17th century Italian violin repertoire. My most recent project was a lecture-recital on the 1669 sonatas of Giovanni Antonio Pandolfi, presented at Case Western Reserve University and as a Fringe Concert at the Boston Early Music Festival. I have recently co-founded a Charlottesville-based baroque ensemble, Three Notch'd Road, that will offer concerts in Charlottesville, Staunton, and Winchester in its second season.
